Anna Maria Island
Welcome to a special little place off the west coast of Florida; eight miles west of the city of Bradenton and connected to the mainland by the Manatee and Cortez bridges. There is nowhere else quite like it on Earth. While Anna Maria Island is just over 7 miles long, it hosts three separate cities: Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach, each with its own administration and city hall. These three tiny cities have their own individual village character, but are all populated with friendly, easy-going long-time residents and snowbirds alike. The longer you stay, the more you will come to recognize and appreciate the differences across the island.
All three cities have wonderful restaurants, shopping, and beaches both gulf and bayfront. The whole island has a congenial air of relaxed charm; no one is in any hurry (we call it “Island Time”) and nothing seems like too much trouble.
Anna Maria Island’s annual average temperature is around 75°F. Our coolest months during Winter (Dec-Feb) are the most popular times for tourists to visit. Temperatures range from highs around 73°F and lows around 50°F. Springtime (Mar-May) sees highs up to 87°F and lows around 60°F. Summer, as expected, is quite warm with temperatures ranging from 95°F to 75°F. In fall, the temperatures begin to cool off with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s. And any time of the year is a great time to watch our spectacular sunsets light up the entire sky.
